Today I was looking through a couple of my favorite blogs. I have always loved reading Stephanie Nielson's blog, found here. She always helps me to stay positive and find all of the beauty in life. Not to mention- she always puts a smile on my face because of the funny things she writes!
At the end of her post today, she mentioned a boy named Max.
I clicked the link, but I don't think I was really prepared for what I read next.

If any of you have read/seen anything about Stephanie Nielson, you know that she was a burn victim.
Well so is this sweet boy.
Max's mother started a blog to document their journey. But, what I soon found out was that this was not something that happened years ago, but recently, on July 2nd.

I had tears in my eyes as I read about what happened.
Please go read his story- here.

I could not help but feel grateful as I read about Max.
He must be quite an amazing boy.

I always think about how our loving Heavenly Father has a purpose for every trial that He gives us. His mom and dad must be hurting, yet they keep finding all of the small miracles they can celebrate. I have tried putting myself in their shoes, but I do not think it is possible to know how they feel. I fear that I will go through something heartbreaking like this one day, but I don't know if I would be able to face it wish such faith
I would never stop believing and having faith in my Heavenly Father, but I feel like I would lose faith in myself.
But, then I remembered something else.
I wouldn't ever have to do it alone.
I would have my Heavenly Father carrying me the whole way.
And I know that is what He is doing for Max and his family.
I am so grateful to have found this today. I feel as if I am viewing things differently as I go about my day now. A reminder to all of us that we should never take what we have for granted.
I sometimes think that I get wrapped up in the things I don't have and forget to look at all that I do have.

My heart aches for this family, and they will for sure be in my prayers.

I hope that I, and maybe the few others who follow this silly blog, will be more grateful for everything we have.

Here are a few of mine at this moment:
+Having a healthy body- I don't feel worried about how fat or skinny I am right now, just grateful that I have fingers and toes that I can wiggle and a mouth that can smile.
+The feeling I get when the sunshine hits my face.
+Knowing that I get to hug my husband and feel his arms around me when he gets home tonight.
+Having a job to help support our tiny family.
+Being able to soon enjoy a whole week with my family- I feel like I might just cherish that time a little bit more now. After all- we never know what is next in store for this journey of life...
+Grateful for the gospel in my life. Beyond grateful for that...
+Raspberry Bushes. Those alone can make me smile :)
+Knowing that I am still young and have so many more experiences ahead! Good and bad.
+My sisters. They are people that I look up to so much- in very different ways. They are the background on my work computer right now.
Their eyes hold so many good memories behind them. Their smiles mean something special to me.
Sometimes just looking at a picture can make me feel so much.

So, here is to another day- full of learning and growing...
and believing in miracles.
