Eight is Gr8!

Mason was baptized!
 It was a very special day and I am so proud of him for making the first of many good choices in his life!
I have now had one niece and one nephew be baptized and honestly, I don't think it gets much better.
When Avery was baptized two years ago, she asked me to speak on Baptism.
I prepared some thoughts and when it came time for me to get up and share them, I couldn't.
Want to know why??
I WAS A BASKET CASE!
Just thinking about the covenant that she was about to make brought so many amazing feelings to my heart.
When I would look at my brother (her father) I would cry even harder...
It was useless. I had no make-up on by the end, but at least I made it through what I had wanted to say...sorta ha!

This time Mason asked me to lead the music. HAHA!
I joked with Janae that it was because of the last incident :)
 Such a beautiful and complete family. Nothing is more beautiful.
 The next day Gauge told his mom that he wanted to get baptized...TODAY!
Ha!- we had to explain to him that he could later on :)
 I had a proud primary chorister moment that same day also!!
I have been teaching my primary kids the song "Baptism" from the Children's Hymnbook.
It pretty much just tells the story of Jesus's baptism...but this is what happened...

Grandpa: "Mason, how are we baptized?"
Mason: (after a little pause) "BY IMMERSION!"

That's right!! He totally knew the answer because of the song!
Another testimony builder right there!
I was told by my dad when I was younger that music is like a prayer to our Heavenly Father.
From that day I have sang every song in Sacrament meeting and tried to listen to the words I was saying.
Sounds like my primary kids ARE listening too :)

Lead me into life eternal
By the gospel's holy call.
Let thy promise rest upon me;
Grant me ready strength for all.

Father, all my heart I give thee;
All my service shall be thine.
Guide me as I search in weakness;
Let thy loving light be mine.

Hear me as I pray in meekness;
Let my strength be as they day.
Give me faith, the greater knowledge;
Father, bless me as I pray.
