12 Months!

Crazy to think that this is my last month update on my big baby girl!! 

It really does feel like yesterday that I was holding my newborn baby girl- and now look at her! 

I am not ready for her to start getting older, but I love the little personality that she is developing- even though she is spicy!

Weight: 20.6 lbs (42%)

Length: 30 in. (79%)

Diaper Size: 4’s!

Clothes Size:  Some 12-18 months and some 9-12 months- not much has changed there!

Nicknames:  Little Miss P, Paisley Peach, Tinker, Lover Dove, etc!

Health: SICK… ALL THE TIME. SICK! She got a cold that we thought was teething for a while, then got better, then got the throw up and diarrhea bug, then got better…THEN GOT a virus! It has been quite the struggle for the last three weeks. Goodness…mom needs a break.

Sleep: This has also been a little bit of a struggle lately...probably because she was sick. But nap times have been a struggle.

Diet:  Still trying to work on the weaning thing. She LOVES the boob…too much.

Likes:

-       She still loves to swim- but she really wishes she could do it by herself…which is starting to be a problem. HA! She just wants me to let her go- but we obviously know what would happen if I did that!

-       Teddy Grahams! We just bought some for her yesterday and she loves them. Haha

-       She loves to walk around the house with her little walker, but she doesn’t know how to turn it when she runs into walls and such, so I get to follow her everywhere she goes because she runs into something about every 3 feet! Goose. Ha

-       She loves going on walks. It is like her therapy or something. It is really hot most the time, but it is also moms therapy because it gets us out of the house and helps separate the day a tad more while dad is gone.

Dislikes:

-       Still hates the car seat…with a passion.

-       When I don’t let her get her way.

-       When I don’t share things with her- like Diet Cokes or smoothies. haha

Milestones: 

-       She took her first steps on her birthday!!! I caught it on video, but then after that, all she wanted to do was watch the video of herself! Ha Funny girl!

-       Tantrums? Is that a milestone? Ha. She is really good at the whole throw your body back and smash your feet around thing. Goodness- it is totally my favorite thing ever (not!)

Things I don't want to forget:

-       Paisley has quite the strong personality. She is very driven to get what she wants…sometimes (maybe most the time) it is really hard because that obviously is not the easiest thing to handle as a mom, but I also know that one day when she is older, it may be a very good thing. 

11 Months

This post is a month late, but it is now up!! Soon the 12 month update will follow! ha

Normal as a peach!

Sleep: 

When we moved to Arizona, Paisley thought it was a good idea to start waking up at 5 AM every day, then the next week was 5:30, then 6, then 6:30. We are now awake at around 7 every morning. Still missing that 8 am wake up call. Missing it quite a lot. haha

Diet:  

I just started trying to wean P. And it isn’t going so well anymore. We will continue to try. Ha. Other than that, it is just a bunch of food! This girl is always hungry!!

Likes:

-       She loves to swim! Her favorite is when daddy goes swimming with us!

-       Paisley loves to help her dad build stuff- or just act like she is building stuff. She is a hoot.

-       She loves baths! OMG. She loves baths. Or just sitting in the shower while I shower.

-       We eat a lot of string cheese and strawberries in our house lately…well, I should say Paisley does!

-       Other things that she downs is Diet Coke, Frappuccino’s, and Gold Fish. Ya…I know, I am a good mom.

-       Spending time with her cousins. We went to Brianhead with my family for Labor Day weekend and she loved hanging out with her cousins. It was so cute how much her older cousins had missed her! I love family!

-       READING! I have read the same board books over...and over....and over :) 

Dislikes:

-       She hates the car seat. But I would too! It gets so hot in the backseat and no matter what I try and do with the air, it never gets to her fast enough.

-       Milk…we are trying to fix that.

Milestones: 

-       Almost 8 teeth! That bite is nasty!

Things I don't want to forget:

-       When we went to Brianhead, I was so SO STRESSED about making the drive to Vegas by myself. Well, when we were driving back, I had time to reflect on the weekend together. I had the opportunity to be a single mom and had to do (mostly) everything by myself, and when it was just us too, it really was by myself! There were still times until the moment I got home that I was a little scared doing it alone, but it was an awesome growing experience. Paisley and I had the opportunity to bond so much- and that may sound weird if you have never experienced it, but it is true! Even with an 11 month old! At the end of the trip, I was tired, but I also felt so much closer to Paisley- like we had this new relationship that just grew even more. Those days were tough, but they will always be something that I hold dear now.

-       Paisley already had her first kiss, from her first boyfriend! His name is Landon and they are the best of buds. Landon is such a cuddler and sometimes when he gets near P just takes off. Haha! So fun to watch them interact with each other. 

Never want to forget these little piggies :) 

10 Months

This chunk is such a happy girl and is so playful all the time :)  We are always entertained by her and she is so funny!

Weight:  18.92 lbs. + some

Length:  27.95 in. + some

Diaper Size: 3…still…waiting for our Amazon order of 4’s!

Clothes Size:  Some 12-18 months and some 9-12 months

Nicknames:  Paiz, Paisey Poo, Chunka Munk…etc.

Health: Healthy HEALTHY!

Sleep: 

She is the best sleeper ever!! She has really been on a schedule lately and I know that that is why. She sleeps about 11 hours during the night and then takes two pretty good naps during the day! When she sleeps well, she is a happy baby…and that makes one HAPPY mamma!

Diet:  

Still breastfeeding, but loves plain food! All. The. Time. She literally never wants to stop eating! 

Likes:

-       FOOD. Period.

-       She loves giving kisses to mom and dadda

-       Standing!

-       Opening drawers and cupboards…she is such a trouble maker!

-       Bathes! She loves being naked and free in the water. She will sit and talk with her ducks and it is really sweet.

-       She is quite the dancer still…has been since she was a baby. She gets it from her mamma!

-       She learned how to whistle! ...Like are you kidding me? Her Great Grandpa Jay thinks it is HILAROUS.

-       She knows how to work the X box controller. She can turn it on and she loves messing around with it and making the tv talk back to her. HA!

Dislikes:

-       When you don’t let her pull open drawers and stuff…she melts down. Ha! Let’s just say that she hates when she doesn’t get her way.

-       When we take food away from her…or when we eat in front of her without giving her any.

-       When someone hurts her mom – ha! Her grandma Lisa and I were wrestling the other day and Paisley started bawling because she thought she was hurting me!

-       She dislikes baby food now…she won’t eat it. Just spits it out and makes a mess!

-       She doesn’t like chicken salad sandwiches, bananas, or eggs much…she is weird about those ones. 

Milestones: 

-       Four teeth!

-       Crawling like a mad woman…we are now getting interested in stairs…this will be fun!

Things I don't want to forget:

-       Eating breakfast the other morning with Paisley and Craig. We were all just so happy. I could see it in Craig’s eyes…and I know that Paisley could feel it too because of her smiles. One of those moments that I don’t want to forget.

And not to mention...picture taking has gotten much harder...she is always on the MOVE!! Love this Paisley POO!
